The Department of Languages, in association with IQAC, Cochin Arts and Science College, organized a National Song Competition in connection with the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram”, the song that inspired the Indian freedom movement. The event was held on 30 January 2026 at 10.00 a.m. in the Seminar Hall.

The programme aimed to instill patriotic values, promote national integration, and encourage students to express their love for the nation through music. Students actively participated, making the event a meaningful tribute to India’s cultural and national heritage.
