Internal Quality Assurance Cell

The NAAC has directed all accredited higher education institutions to form an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to monitor the initiatives taken by the HEIs to improve its quality. The IQAC also ensure that the long-term objectives of the HEIs are fulfilled effectively and efficiently.

Vision

The IQAC of Cochin Arts and Science College, Pallikkara, Kakkanad monitors the initiatives taken by the college and sees that the actions taken are in commensurate with the Vision and Mission of the College.

Mission

The mission of the IQAC of the College is:

To establish standards and ensure that the quality is maintained.
To disseminate knowledge using the available resources to make the students excel in their academic pursuits.

Objectives of the IQAC

To coordinate and integrate the activities of the college through an effective system of communication.
To conduct internal audits of various departments to ensure quality.
To collect feedback regarding the policies of the college from the stakeholders.
To prepare Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per NAAC guidelines with the help of the faculty members.

Functions of IQAC

Ensures that quality education is offered in an effective and efficient manner.
Conducts internal and external academic audits of the departments to improve quality.
Documents the progress and setting up of various programmes/activities conducted in the institution.
Prepares the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per the guidelines prescribed by NAAC.
