The Anti-Drug Cell, Yodhavu Club, and NSS Units (142 & 262) of Cochin Arts and Science College organized a Drug Awareness Session titled “Youth for a Drug-Free Society” on 03 March 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Seminar Hall. The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a culture of responsible and healthy living among youth.

The session was led by Ms. Neslie S, Woman Civil Excise Officer, Excise Range Office, Mamala. She provided valuable insights into the increasing challenges related to substance abuse, its physical, psychological, and social consequences, and the legal implications associated with drug-related offenses. Through real-life examples and interactive discussion, the speaker emphasized the importance of informed decision-making, peer support, and community responsibility in preventing drug addiction.
