National Service Scheme (NSS) plays a significant role in celebrating Environment Day, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable development. As part of World Environment Day, the NSS Units (142 & 262) and Nature Club of Cochin Arts and Science College conducted programmes that included planting saplings, beautifying the Kandamprayar bus stop and cleaning the road near the college. It took three days to complete the beautification. On 5/06/2024, Cochin Arts and Science College Principal Dr. Renjith K. Philip planted the first sapling in the college garden. Additionally, NSS volunteers cleaned both sides of the college road. Furthermore, the volunteers painted and beautified the bus stop near the college. Twenty NSS volunteers participated in the three programs. Their combined efforts led to the successful completion of the programs in three days.
