Anti-Ragging Day & Week Observance (12th–18th August 2025)
In accordance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) circular dated 22nd July 2025, Cochin Arts and Science College, Mankkakadavu, will observe Anti-Ragging Day on 12th August 2025 and Anti-Ragging Week from 12th to 18th August 2025. The initiative aims to create a ragging-free campus and promote awareness among students about the consequences of ragging.
Proposed Activities:
12 August 2025 – Anti-Ragging Awareness Session & Inauguration of Anti-Ragging Week
13 August 2025 – Digital Poster Making Competition on anti-ragging themes
14 August 2025 – Video Message Campaign by the Principal, faculty, and students, along with anti-ragging awareness board displays across the campus
18 August 2025 – Anti-Ragging Film Fest featuring short films and videos provided by UGC/Anti-Ragging Cell
Throughout the month – Encouraging student participation in the National Contest organized by the C4Y and UGC (Digital Posters, Reels, and Short Videos)
These activities are designed to ensure maximum student engagement and adherence to UGC guidelines



The Anti-Ragging Cell of Cochin Arts and Science College organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness Program and inauguration of Anti Ragging Week on 12th August 2025 at the college seminar hall from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Mr. P K Salim, Sub Inspector of Police, Kunnathunadu Police Station served as the chief guest and he addressed the students on the importance of maintaining a ragging-free campus and emphasized legal consequences and preventive measures against ragging.
The event successfully created awareness among students, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to ensuring a safe and respectful campus environment.


The Anti-Ragging Cell of Cochin Arts and Science College conducted an Anti-Ragging E-Poster Competition titled “The Art of Respect” on 13th August 2025 from 10.00-11.00am in the Computer Lab as part of the Anti-Ragging Week observance. The participants creatively designed digital posters to promote the message of a ragging-free campus and the importance of mutual respect.
