Cochin Arts and Science College established the Tourism Club in 2023 in response to a government initiative encouraging the formation of tourist clubs in academic institutions. The Indian and state governments recognised tourism as a significant business, and Kerala is a popular tourist destination around the globe. The tourism club’s primary goal is to raise youth awareness of tourism’s role in sustainable development. The club aims to promote youth awareness of the need to safeguard and enhance Kerala’s tourism potential and also makes an effort to connect tourism with local culture and history. The Club promotes younger people’s involvement in tourist development initiatives. The club’s suggested activities include study tours, lectures, seminars, quizzes, and competitions on tourism.

The club’s main goal is to instill a sense of sustainable tourism in responsible individuals. The Tourism Club takes the initiative to inform its members of the latest developments in its activities, including outings into the outdoors, expert industry orientations, travelogues, and tourism-related competitions. The College’s Tourism Club encourages everyone to follow green practices and policies.
